Hanna is likely to be encountered by travellers as a stopping point on a car journey between Calgary and Saskatoon. It is a agricultural and oil and gas supply centre.

  • Visitor Information Centre, 603 South Municipal Road (near Hwy 9 & Palliser Trail), +1 403-854-4433, tourism@hanna.ca. May long weekend-June: F 3-8PM, Sa-Su noon-8PM; July-August: Daily 10AM-8:30PM. Located in the former Canadian Northern Railway (later CN) station, which was in service from 1913-1990; now designated as a Heritage Railway Station. The station was relocated and converted to a visitor centre. (updated Nov 2019)
